When planning your wedding, choosing the right photography style can be just as important as picking the venue or the dress. I offer both 35mm film and digital photography, giving you the freedom to decide what best fits your wedding's vibe. Take a look at the visual difference between both below.

PROS of Film


You can't beat the look of film photography. It looks distinctively nostalgic and timeless. It perfectly captures the warmth, light and feel of the day. With 35mm film, you'll get a beautiful colors, texture and grain that’s impossible to replicate with digital. Film does best with flash or lots of light, so think outdoor wedding during a sunny afternoon.


Faster gallery delivery, as film requires much less editing.

Cons of Film


Film doesn't do well with low light situations. If your wedding is indoors or in a dark shaded area, consider a combination of film and digital imagery. This can be remedied with a flash, but keep in mind this limits the distance from which I need to be photographing the subject, typically flashes have about a 10ft range.

With film, every shot counts. I am more selective in capturing moments, so you’ll have fewer photos although each one will be carefully composed.

PROS OF digital


Digital photography delivers crisp, high-quality images that showcase every detail. Digital cameras are much more flexible with different lighting situations, ensuring you get perfect images with any lighting scenario.


You will typically get a lot more digital photos, since the cost is not per shot.


CONS OF DIGITAL


While digital photos are sharp and modern, they do not have the same warm, nostalgic feeling as film.


Digital galleries take longer times for delivery as the editing process is tedious and time consuming.
